I work with someone who commuted fifty miles a day one way for over ten years to avoid having his kid go to a city school. Last year, after his son graduated from high school, he finally moved to a condo two blocks from the office (but he drives anyway). <BR/><BR/>Meanwhile, I've worked at the same place for nearly twenty years because it's within three miles from home ... and if I need to, I can walk there and back.
