We recently got ours refinanced and were lucky enough to end up with approximately $200 in savings every month. That's money we intend to spend on home improvement that could possibly give the home a higher value when we get it appraised. As for the lender issues, this is why it's important to find a lending company that works with you. Mortgages are tricky, so you can't afford to opt for a company that makes you do more work and causes you delays.
